UTA Fur Sale
We typically hold the Fur Sale on the second weekend in February at the Juab County Fairgrounds in Nephi (400 W Center St. Nephi, UT).
The 2025 Fur Sale will be February 7-9, 2025. Check-in times for fur will be Friday the 7th from 2pm-7pm and Saturday the 8th from 8am-12pm. Depending on help, and set up we might be able to check in fur before 2pm.
If we only have enough fur for a one-day sale, we will read the bids on Saturday night or early Sunday morning

Please ensure your pelt counts and paperwork are accurate before you get your assigned lots. As well as having a current membership. This will help the Fur Sale run quickly and smoothly.
CoyotesThe DWR will bounty coyotes. All rules to bounty coyotes apply.
BobcatsThe Utah Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) will tag bobcats at the sale. Bobcats must have the permanent DWR tag affixed before lots are assigned.
The DWR will be at the 2024 Fur Sale to tag bobcats and bounty coyotes from 12pm-6pm on February 9th and 8am-12pm on February 10th.

Selling Skulls
Something new we are going to do is you can now sell skulls at the fur sale. However, the skulls need to be in a plastic container and frozen. The buyers want them this way.

Frozen Animals and Frozen Pelts
If you plan to sell frozen whole animals or frozen fur, call Stan Bassett at (435) 770-0884 so he can make arrangements.
Consigning Fur
If you or someone you know is planning on selling fur at the sale, please contact us as soon as you can on approximately how much fur you will be bringing. Consigning fur helps us get a fur volume idea, and in return that brings in more buyers to the sale. It helps the buyers on what to plan for. Along with getting the highest bid possible for your fur. So please contact us before the sale.

Buying Rules
- To buy furs at the Fur Sale, you must have a current Utah Fur buyers license issued by the state of Utah.
- For first time buyers, to buy furs at the fur sale, it is required that you contact the UTA officers before the sale.
- Buyers commission fee is 1% of total purchased.
- Traps and trapping supply lots will be available to the public to bid on. It will be a closed bid just as fur is a closed bid process. Bid sheets will be available at the computer desk.
- If you buy anything from the trap lots, you must be present at the sale when bids are read. We will read the bids for the trap lots on Saturday night (February 10th).
- We accept cash, Venmo, or credit card for payment.
Only authorized UTA personnel are allowed on the sale floor. Pictures are not allowed, except for those taken by UTA officers, or authorized UTA personnel.
