Utah Trappers Association Scholarship

We are pleased to sponsor the annual Utah Trappers Association (UTA) scholarship. We award two $1,000 scholarships at our convention in September. This scholarship is granted to individuals who are enrolled in a college program, preferably relating to Wildlife Conservation and the Environment. There are no age requirements; the scholarship is open to all who wish to further their education.

Applications for 2023 must be postmarked by August 1, 2023.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the UTA Scholarship, applicants:
  1. Must be enrolled in a college program. Preference is given to those enrolled in a Wildlife Conservation and the Environment program.
  2. Cannot be a previous UTA Scholarship winner.
  3. Must be a UTA member or relative of a UTA member.

Required Documents

To​ apply, submit:
  • Application information form
  • Copy of the acceptance letter from the college of your enrollment
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Copy of your transcripts
  • Essay of 500 or more words that addresses:
    • Your philosophy of conservation as it relates to the renewable resource of wildlife.
    • How you hope to contribute to the wildlife conservation effort.
  • Any other pertinent information (e.g., applicable awards)
